Who Is Residential Camp Sandy Wheels For:
Residential Camp Sandy Wheels was started in 1979 to provide outdoor recreational activities for individuals with cerebral palsy, physical disabilities, and developmental delays.  Campers have the chance of interacting with others and exploring the outdoors.  Residential Camp Sandy Wheels provides a positive camping experience.

What Residential Camp Sandy Wheels is all About:
Residential Camp Sandy wheels is held at Mt. Morris Camp & Conference Center in Mt. Morris, Wisconsin for two sessions.

Camp Sandy Wheels uses four wheelchair accessible cabins.  Each cabin accommodates 16 people (8 campers and 8 staff/volunteers). Each cabin has handicapped accessible showers.
At the main lodge meals are provided by the camp cook.  This is where we also do craft activities, play games on rainy days and have dances.

There are two areas for campfires.  Each cabin has a fire pit and the fire pit by the main lodge is used nightly for sing-a-longs and smores! There is a roll-in swimming pool behind the main lodge so campers can enjoy swimming or just lying back in the sun relaxing!

Staff at Residential Camp Sandy Wheels:
Staff at Residential Camp Sandy Wheels consists of a Camp Director, Assistant Camp Director, Nurse, and Counselors as well as many Volunteers. The counselors and staff receive additional training prior to camp so that they are able to provide the campers with all the care that the campers need.
